Let’s start off by saying that living with your dad is better than living with your mom. Saying that often and out loud is helpful for maintaining a positive outlook. There are other things you can do to keep that vibe up. Tell your friends about your dad’s antics, share stories about your day together. When you share your experiences publicly you see them as your friends see them. For what they really are which is pretty funny.

I remember being a teenager and all of my friends thought dad was a hoot. He was. If he wasn’t your dad. But if you really get down to it, he is a hoot. If I pretend he’s someone else’s dad and I laugh too. This is pretty easy to do since my real dad would definitely know my birthday. Or my last name.
